Eleanor Tara ABOUT THE SONG This is a sad song about a sad story. In 1944 a circus fire broke out in Hartford, Connecticut killing over 200 people. Among the bodies was a small girl in a white dress. When no one claimed the body, they buried her under the name Little Miss 1565 until someone identified her as Eleanor many years later. I found the story very moving , and it inspired this song.
